Inside-Out Leadership creates a safe and welcoming environment to collect candid feedback, perform interviews, and synthesize the feedback into a comprehensive 360° Review with actionable topics and recommended areas of focus. The resulting 360° Report functions as a useful independent tool for your development, and can also be used in conjunction with ongoing or future coaching work.

Our Process

Our comprehensive 360° review follows an eight-step process designed to uncover and assess areas ripe for our clients’ development both as a leader, and on a personal basis.

Here’s how we do it:


Our 360° Review Process

  • Develop and refine your 360° Review questionnaire.

    Inside-Out Leadership (I-O) develops and iterates on a set of questions designed to elicit the desired feedback on a range of areas related to leadership including, but not limited to: trust, effectiveness, communication, conflict resolution, and other interpersonal dynamics.

  • Reach out and send the online questionnaire to the selected 360° Feedback Participants*.

    
I-O provides context for the 360° review process and confirms that Feedback Participants are enthusiastically committed to participating and providing candid feedback with an emphasis on the safety and anonymity of all feedback provided. 


    We utilize a client-approved survey platform (Google Forms, JotForm, etc), to send the survey to your Feedback Participants and follows up as needed to ensure completion within one week.

    
*Participation is at-will for each individual listed, and capped at seven (7) feedback participants.

  • Analyze the survey results.

    I-O analyzes the survey results, noting any questions with high marks, low marks, or statistically significant disparities in answers. After the analysis is completed we generate a heatmap of the results to visually represent our findings.


    We now use these analyzed survey results to compile focused questions for each Feedback Participant to be used during the 1:1 interviews.

  • Schedule and perform 1:1 interviews with Feedback Participants.

    I-O conducts 60-minute 1:1 interviews with each Feedback Participant, using the questions created during our analysis of their survey results. Each meeting is recorded on Zoom and transcribed via Otter AI.

  • Review and synthesize the data we’ve collected.

    I-O reviews all of the gathered data (survey results, plus interview recordings and transcriptions) in order to summarize the results and highlight themes in a final report. 


    Based on the findings of this review, I-O produces a series of follow up questions and/or a brief call will be coordinated with the Feedback Participants, if required.

  • An in-depth 1-1 review of your final 360° report.

    I-O provides a 75-minute scheduled meeting with you to review the final report, highlighting strengths, opportunities, and themes.


    During this meeting I-O provides targeted support around understanding and digesting the feedback provided by your participants.

    Our discussion will also include suggestions on navigating interactions with your Feedback Participants post-360° Review in the event that relational rifts are uncovered during the review process.

  • Develop a plan to turn the information and insights gleaned into actionable momentum.

    Leveraging the raw data and insights from your 360° Review, I-O develops and provides you with a prioritized list of focus areas.

    We then collaboratively review this plan with you and make any adjustments.

  • Closing the loop with Feedback Participants while continuing to foster future collaboration opportunities.

    I-O communicates one last time with your Feedback Participants, offering general appreciation and applauding specific individual contributions. This assists in fostering continued candor and transparency moving forward in your relationship.

    Finally, I-O exits the 360° Review process by leaving you with guidance and suggestions on closing the loop with your Feedback Participants and potentially providing updates on key learnings and insights.
